There was a cast member party today at EPCOT. Eric (another intern, not the brother) and I had the day off, so we just met the rest of the marine mammal team during their lunch time. At this hidden warehouse behind "Canada" in the World Showcase, we walked in to a prepared lunch, music, DJ, games, Mickey, Minnie and Goofy, ice cream, vendors selling things, trivia, and each of the World Showcase countries had booths where the chefs cooked you samples of food. You had to try each sample and then vote for your favorite. I was stuffed. Germany's BBQ shrimp with mango chutney and coconut rice won my vote. It was really fun to hang out with the other interns and trainers in this type of non-work setting.
Hayley and I were partners in one of the games. They gave us a box of nuts and bolts of different sizes and we had one minute to match as many as we could. We got second place with 20 matches and a keychain as a consolation prize. After the boys scoffed at our score, they tried...and got 20 matches and a keychain as a consolation prize. Before everyone left, we took a picture with Mickey and Goofy (Minnie was MIA).
